Biraj offers individual, group and family counselling for both young people and adults who are experiencing issues with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, trauma or are currently involved in or have been affected by separation or divorce.

Drawing on his knowledge and experience working as a counsellor at Menslink and Marymead Biraj employs a number of evidence based therapies including:

  • Narrative therapy
  • Solutions Focused Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Art Therapy

I particularly enjoy working with young people, especially teenagers who may feel overwhelmed, disenfranchised or disconnected from themselves and others.

My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding, first focusing on establishing a profound sense of trust and connection and  by nurturing their inherent qualities such as presence, mindfulness, and playfulness.

I support them towards developing greater emotional regulation, employing  coping skills and being able to express their emotions in a healthy, constructive manner.
